Two Greek Scientists are receiving recognition and distinction for their impressive work and contribution to science.
Dr. Chryssa Kouveliotou was selected for membership in the US National Academy of Sciences. She is an astrophysicist and senior specialist at NASA's Space Flight Center. She continues to achieve in original scientific research. She is known for her extensive research on astronomical subjects.
Dr. Ioannis Touratsoglou, along with Professor Olivier Picard, are the recipients of the 2012 and 2013 Archur M. Huntington Awards. Dr. Touratsoglou has work in archaeology and numismatics. He served as a curator and director of the Numismatic Museum of Athens and a director of the National Archaeological Museum. He has an extensive list of publications and we is an inspiration to young Greek scholars.
