The National Gallery of Art is hosting the exhibition Power and Pathos:Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenistic World. The exhibition presents some 50 bronze sculptures and related works that were created during the Hellenistic period ( from the fourth century BC to the first century AD). the sculptures are originally kept in archaeological museums all over the world (e.g. Austria, Denmark, France, Georgia, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Spain, Tunisia, the United States, and the Vatican).
To accompany the exhibition , the National Gallery of Art is also hosting a Greek Documentary Series (from January 5th to March 20th), The series includes 9 documentaries and there are screenings almost everyday! All events are free of charge, but for the screenings seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis.
